Applications are now open for PhD scholarships at the Université de Nouakchott Al Aasriya (Mauritania) for the academic year 2026-2027. This program is strictly open to current 2nd-year Master’s students (2025-2026) who are ranked among the top of their respective promotions.
Eligible Fields:
Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics.
Scholarship Benefits:
- A monthly stipend ranging between 30 and 50 USD (depending on the field and academic level).
- Access to transportation and housing services, subject to the available capacity of the Mauritanian National Center for University Services.
Required Application File:
- Copy of the Baccalaureate transcript.
- Copies of transcripts for all university years.
- Copy of the Bachelor’s (Licence) degree.
- Enrollment certificate for the current 2nd year of Master’s (2025-2026).
- Official class ranking certificate.
- The proposed PhD thesis project.
- Copy of the first page of your passport.
- A signed commitment to submit the Master’s degree immediately upon graduation.
Submission Details & Deadline:
Applications must be submitted to the Department’s Post-Graduation Office. You must provide a printed paper file alongside a digital version compiled into a single PDF document.
The absolute deadline for submission at the department level is May 28, 2026.
